17 year wait for a win goes on

How shitty, annoying and downright useless is that? 17 years. 32 games. And no win at Ibrox. Deary me. Grim reading. Lots was said in the build up to the match. Apparently Clangers was going to get his 3rd win at Ibrox. Aluko was the new Eoin Jess too!!! Happy days. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, let me tell you. A whole lot, that's what. Rangers were there for the taking on Saturday, that's for sure. It looked like a VERY scrappy game. We had a few good chances to take the lead though, Derek Young in particular had a great chance to break the deadlock before half time.

And what happened? What do you think? Into the second half we trot and as usual, we lose 2 'sloppy' goals (christ on a bike, I sound like JC, shoot me now).

Final score: Rangers 2 - 0 Aberdeen.

Useless. Positives? Severin and Kerr looked good in central midfield. Aluko looks great up front. Two points whuch JC must surely take on board and bloody stick to. All this tinkering is no good for continuity. We need a settled team on the park that know what they are supposed to be doing.

Negatives? Oh yes. Of course!!! Again, defensively, we looked shambolic at the goals. Several opportunites were there to clear the ball for both. And it's silly errors like this that are the cause of us dropping so many points this season. Which is frustrating.

Match reaction and highlights

I hope we can get back on track with a win against Motherwell on Saturday. Hopefully it will provide me with a bit more ammunition for a more exciting entry. I'm just deflated and rapidly losing interest after Saturday. Yay. Or boo. Whatever.....

A friend of mine who's a season ticket holder at Ibrox said much the same about the Gers' performance, albeit from a position of having taken all three points. He said Aluko was the best player on the park, but is just too small for Scottish football.

Aye, that sounds about right to me.

Aluko looks like a great talent, would be good to see him bulk up a little.

A lot like Chris Maguire (but I don't think he's half the player of Aluko).
